I feel very comfortable and at ease at Jagaro’s meditation group in Helensburgh. Jagaro is a very experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate teacher. He communicates clearly and helps people to relate the teachings and meditation practice to daily life. The other meditators in the group were friendly and welcoming, some beginners & some long-term meditators – a really enjoyable & beneficial experience.

I am really glad that Jagaro is here in Helensburgh, and is our meditation teacher, his knowledge and teaching skills are welcomed. We started from the beginning, talked about ourselves and backgrounds, went through some basics of meditation, posture, how to sit and also got deeper into the meaning of meditation and how it works. I found this part to be most beneficial to me since I never really understood what was so special about counting your own breath and being “in the moment”, but after the coaching from Jagaro it made a lot more sense to me.
So my coaching was a bit more than a week ago, I wanted to wait a bit to see how I’m doing, and until now I kept up my meditation practice, meaning I meditated every day for at least 20 minutes per day, which means a lot to me. Thanks for helping me get started with meditation, I really see the value in it now.

I met Jagaro in 2010 through the internet. He’s offered me instruction, reading recommendations, and encouragement. He has been incredibly patient with me. He’s answered my questions and redirected me when I’ve fallen off path. I’ve also had a few online face-to-face Skype sessions with Jagaro.
Jagaro is so dedicated to helping others, it is amazing to think that he’d wake up at 5am just to chat with me. He is both a knowledgeable and compassionate teacher. He communicates clearly and is able to relate to the student. Jagaro is friendly, but he is also direct. I find that a lot of teachers will let students wander off into the darkness for fear of upsetting the student. A good teacher will let the student know when they are off track. If it weren’t for Jagaro, there’s no telling where I’d be. I am no longer a confused seeker and I feel pretty confident in the direction I’m heading.
Since having met Jagaro I feel that my meditation has made significant progress. I’m less attached to thinking, I don’t fret about past or future, and I’m more content in life. As a seeker, I am eternally grateful and feel very fortunate to have Jagaro as a mentor. I’d highly recommend Jagaro for anyone looking for some guidance or a full-time teacher. Thank you, Jagaro!
