The Meditation Group offered by Jagaro is called ‘The Mindful Moment’, the name representing the mindful experience we come to know and embody in the moment through the meditation practice. The group provides you the opportunity to learn and practice meditation with others interested in mindfulness. The classes are held in in Helensburgh, NSW (Australia), which is in the Northern Illawarra Region of Sydney.
The session are ongoing weekly and offer you the opportunity to get regular instruction in meditation and so you have a regular group you can sit with, which is very beneficial for your practice. Beginner’s to advanced are all welcome. You’ll find Jagaro’s teachings style easy to follow, the environment soothing, and the group welcoming.

Class Structure
A normal in-person group is 75-90 minutes long and consists of:
- 25-30 minutes of teaching
- 25-30 minutes of meditation sitting
- 25-30 minutes group discussion and Q&A time
What to Bring
If you have a meditation cushion, please bring it with you. Otherwise just come in comfortable clothing and with an inquisitive mind.
First Time? Learn How To Meditate
If you’ve never meditated before you may find it helpful to read the introduction on How to Meditate. Besides a good description of the what, where and how of meditation, this also contains some video which will walk you through the basics as well. This will help prepare you for what occurs during the meditation sessions.
It is also highly recommended that you attend a Beginner’s Class as this will properly introduce you to meditation and give you a clear understanding about the practice.
